Bids invited for £100m Birmingham highways work 08 February 2012

Midlands transport authority Centro is inviting firms to bid for minor highways and bridge work four-year term contracts. The West Midlands Highways and Civils Minor Works Construction Framework Agreement is estimated to be worth £50-£100m at present spending levels. It will get underway in July and has been broken up into three lots covering highways and civils works up to £50,000, jobs up to £0.5m and larger projects. Several infrastructure enhancements could be included in the authority’s bid for local sustainable transport funding is successful. This would include infrastructure improvements along corridors: A38 Bristol Road, A441 Pershore and A41 Warwick Road corridors in Birmingham Walsall to Merry Hill, Quiton to Wolverhampton and West Bromwich to Wolverhampton corridors in the Black Country A452 Chester Road corridor in Solihull Corridors in the north of Coventry |
