A major Civil Engineering and Highways Maintenance contractor based in Berkshire have a requirement for a Lead Estimator to play a key role in their pre contract team. This role will require in depth knowledge of the Highways Maintenance market gained through either working for a contractor in the MAC or local authority market over a number of years. It would also be beneficial to have a good understanding of the highways market in the South East and in particular, within London. This role will be relatively hands on in terms of day to day estimating, but will also require a great deal of input from a strategic perspective. It would therefore be advantageous to have previously had input on the bids process. The person appointed will be a strategic thinker with a demonstrable track record of contract wins.
